The Trust is the bedrock centre of teaching and training for our medical students at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, 350 of whom graduate every year and become young doctors throughout the North East.

In Dentistry, the Dental School is mostly housed within the Dental Hospital producing over 70 new dentists every year.

Northumbria University's School of Health, Community and Education Studies has forged a strong and productive partnership with the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the provision of education, training and research for nursing, midwifery and  allied health professions.
