Library Services

The Libraries, based at the Freeman Hospital and at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, contribute to the delivery of high quality health care through the provision of an up-to-date, efficient and effective library and information service. They support all Trust staff in making best use of the resource in order to enhance their practice, research, teaching, learning and management activities.

The Libraries hold material on all aspect of health, including medicine, surgery, nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation, management etc.
 
Members can borrow up to 8 books for 4 weeks, with a maximum of 2 renewals, unless the item is required by someone else.
 
PCs: Both libraries have recently updated their IT equipment. Freeman Hospital has 10 computers for all staff to use. A scanner is also available in both libraries. Wireless networking has been installed so that staff with the appropriate equipment will be able to link to the hospital network. The RVI Library has 5  open access computers.
