Teenage Cancer Unit
The Teenage Cancer Unit has been improved to provide more social space for patients (and their friends) who often have to spend long periods of time in hospital.
The work was possible thanks to the Children’s Hospital partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Thanks to the generosity of the Trust, the unit has been extended to produce a ‘penthouse suite’ on the roof of the Children’s Hospital. The penthouse benefits from some of the best views of the Newcastle skyline.
