Newcastle Hospitals is one of the largest and most successful teaching hospitals in England, employing over 13,500 staff. It is recognised nationally and internationally as a centre for healthcare excellence.

We provide the second highest number of specialist services compared to any other group of hospitals in the UK. These include academically-led acute, specialist and community services serving a large and diverse population across the North East, Cumbria, the rest of the UK and beyond.

Each year, we see over 1.3 million patients on our wards, in our clinics and in the community. Last year we safely delivered over 7,000 babies.
