Feel Fabulous Volunteers

We are looking for qualified hairstylists and beauty therapists with significant experience to become  "Feel Fabulous Volunteers" within the Great North Children's Hospital.

The Great North Children's Hospital (GNCH) at the RVI is one of the largest children's hospitals in the UK.  The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (ward 3) is one of just two centers in the UK that provides haematopoietic stem cell transplant service for children with life-threatening conditions.  Our patients and their family come from all over England, Scotland, Northern Ireland & Eire including overseas, and can be living on the unit for upto a year.

Many of the mothers of our patients get very little time for themselves, and so we want to provide them with some much needed respite and pampering during what can be a very difficult and emotional time in their lives.  The role of the Feel Fabulous Volunteer therefore, will be to provide a monthly pamper afternoon for the mother's of our patients.
