Women’s Services

We provide a full range of services to women including gynaecology, reproductive medicine, ante natal, intra-partum and postnatal care for low and high risk women.

We provide both elective and emergency services and offer a full screening and ultrasound service.

We have a regional referral service for Foetal Medicine and provide a neonatal intensive care service for the Northern Region. Our consultant-led Delivery Suite and 12-room Newcastle Birthing Centre provide a great opportunity for midwives to develop their skills and decision-making and providing care to women with a low risk pregnancy and birth. Last year we delivered 7,500 babies.
