Volunteer with the Great North Children's Hospital and the Great Exhibition of the North

The Great North Children’s Hospital (GNCH) is to play it’s part in the Great Exhibition of the North 2018 which is taking place throughout June to September this year across Newcastle and Gateshead.  The exhibition will consist of three hubs each connected by three trails : Art, Design and Innovation.

The GNCH exhibit, an interactive pop-up children’s hospital, will be on the Innovation Trail and will showcase medical innovation and how this is used to treat and care for children and young people. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the city and the interactive pop-up hospital, which is to located in the Herschel Building, within Newcastle University is expected to be of particular interest to children who will be able to experience what it would be like to visit a children’s hospital.

We are looking for people who are available at least one day a week between 12 July and 9 September 2018 to assist in the development and the daily running of the ‘Pop-Up Hospital’ exhibition.  Ideally, we are looking to assign each volunteer to a specific day each week but there is flexibility within this schedule to swap and change with others within the team, for example, for annual holiday commitments.

This is a great opportunity to get experience dealing with the public, organising and delivering an educational message for anyone needing experience on your CV.
