Hand Reconstruction Success at the RVI

A County Durham man who had to have his fingers amputated can finally use his hand again after undergoing specialist microsurgery at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.  Mark Bolton developed a severe infection in his hand 3 years ago and had to have most of his hand and fingers removed.  

However ground-breaking surgery carried out by Mr Nick Williams, Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon has meant that Mark is now able to play the guitar again – click below to watch the video.
