The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust announce that Elections are to be held for:
Five Staff Governors - One seat from each of the following Constituencies:

Medical and Dental
- Nursing and Midwifery
- Health Professions Council
- Ancillary and Estates
- Volunteers
Six Public Governors - Two seats from each of the following Constituencies:
- Constituency 1: Newcastle Upon Tyne
- Constituency 2: Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Strategic Health Authority Area (excluding Newcastle)
- Constituency 3: Co Durham Tees Valley Strategic Health Authority area and Cumbria and Lancashire Strategic Health Authority Area and beyond.
All Foundation Trust members are invited to nominate themselves as candidates in the forthcoming election.
Nomination packs can be obtained from the Returning Officer from Tuesday 10 March 2009 at the following address:

If you are uncertain as to your eligibility to nominate yourself as a candidate in this constituency or have any queries, please contact the: Returning Officer, on the following telephone number 02871 371 111.
All nominations must be received by the Returning Officer at the address above by Thursday 26 March 2009.
Please note that faxed or e-mailed nominations will not be accepted.
If candidates do submit their nomination but decide to withdraw, this must be done in writing, witnessed, and sent to the:
Returning Officer no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 31 March 2009
Ballot papers will be distributed to all qualifying Foundation Trust members in the constituency on or before Thursday 16 April 2009. Completed ballot papers must be received by the Independent Scrutineer (OPT2VOTE LTD) by the close of poll,
Friday 08 May 2009.
