Applications for Research Grants

Newcastle is a recognised leader in healthcare research and development across a wide range of areas, helping to deliver benefits not only for patients of today, but for generations to come.

Grants available through Newcastle Hospitals

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity (formerly the “Special Trustees awards”) invites applications for medical research grants. Applications may be submitted through Newcastle University or the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

All applications are peer-reviewed, and administered through the Trust and University’s Joint Research Executive Research Committee (JRESC).

For 2018 we are pleased to welcome applications for grants from the GNCH Foundation. These are targeted to research into Child Health and we welcome applications from all staff groups and from those collaborating with our parnter organisations. Please read the Guidance for GNCH Foundation Grants and apply on the GNCH Foundation Application form.
