Patient and visitor information

Patient and visitor information

Our patient and visitor guides can help you find out everything you need to know before you come into one of our hospitals. Whether you are an inpatient, outpatient or a visitor, we hope you find them useful.

We aim to deliver consistently high standards of care in everything that we do, and are always pleased to hear of anything you have to say and any suggestions you might have to help us continuously improve our services.

For patients who have needs around communication and accessibility, you can find details in our interpreters and accessibility webpage.

Equality and diversity

At Newcastle Hospitals we are committed to providing ‘healthcare at its best – with a personal touch’.  We recognise patients have individual needs and strive to deliver high quality and safe care that meets those needs.  Understanding equality and diversity is vital to delivering person centred, effective care.  At Newcastle Hospitals we recognise and value difference and believe the Trust should be reflective of all the communities and people it serves, in both service delivery and employment, and tackle all forms of discrimination.

Our services are inclusive; we focus on promoting equality whatever a person’s race, age, gender identity, disability status, marital or civil partnership status, sex, sexual orientation, religion or belief, so however people ‘identify’ we will treat our patients, service users, their families and carers with care, dignity and respect.
