Disabled parking

Disabled parking is available, 'free of charge' for blue badge holders, and there are a number of designated 'disabled' spaces located around the hospital car parks.

If you are unable to secure a 'disabled' parking space you should park in the main hospital car parks at the standard tariffs displayed.

Please note that 'Disabled Badge' holders are subject to standard charges when using the Multistory Car Park.

Parkforce – Penalty Notice Scheme

Please note that the Trust operates the above system in managing its estate and car parks. If you park inappropriately you may be issued with a penalty notice and fined.

To avoid being issued with a penalty notice please observe the signs placed around the site and the following ‘good practice’ guide when parking on site.

  • Do not park on double yellow lines or hatched areas
  • Only park in a designated space
  • Park in an appropriate space eg not one that is allocated for other vehicles
  • Do not cause an obstruction to traffic or access to a building by parking inappropriately
  • Display your ‘blue badge’ when using disabled parking on site

The Newcastle Hospitals has a ‘zero’ tolerance policy regarding abuse of staff.  Please do not verbally or physically abuse our staff.
