Information for GPs

The 13th Edition of the Newcastle Hospitals' Women’s Services Referral Guidelines for GPs and other referrers, offers a definitive overview of every service and clinic that we offer.

Newcastle’s Women’s Services offer a comprehensive range of clinics, services, treatments and procedures, covering every element of women’s gynaecological and maternal health.

The majority of our gynaecological and maternal services are based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) although our Fertility Centre is located at the International Centre for Life.

This 13th edition of our Women’s Services Referral Guidelines, offers a definitive overview of every service and clinic that we offer. They have been compiled by the teams working in each of the specialised areas to help GPs quickly access all of our services, and are updated every year to reflect changes in our services.

Our services are set out in the following sections:

  • Obstetrics & Neonatology
  • Gynaecology

We hope that you continue to find these referral guidelines helpful and welcome any feedback that you may have for future issues.
