Community nursing & related services

Newcastle Hospital’s community nursing services include the provision of 24 hour nursing care to patients in their own home.

While the majority of our nursing services are for patients who are temporarily or permanently housebound, we will also visit patients whose nursing needs indicate it is more suitable for them to be seen in their own home.

The community nursing and related services work towards moving patient care closer to home and keeping patients out of hospital as far as possible.
