Over 70?

Breast cancer risk rises as women get older.  So even though women over the age of 70 are not automatically invited for breast screening, you are still encouraged to go for screening every three years.  You can contact your local breast screening unit to make an appointment.  (Tel: 0191 282 0202).  For futher information, please see the 'Over 70' Guide at the link below.

How to find us

Directions to the RVI's Breast Screening and Assessment UnitShow [+] Hide [-]

The Breast Screening and Assessment Unit at the RVI is located on Level One of the New Victoria Wing. When you come through the Main Entrance of the New Victoria Wing, you will find the Cashiers Office in front of you and the shop to your right. Walk straight ahead of you, past the Cashiers Office, and then turn to your left where you will see the sign for the Breast Screening and Assessment Unit.
