NHS Breast Screening Programme
Be Breast Aware - Detecting cancer early can mean that treatment is more effective. Find out more about how to check your breasts regularly to help you detect when something's wrong at the NHS Choices website.

Breast cancer risk rises as women get older. So even though women over the age of 70 are not automatically invited for breast screening, you are still encouraged to go for screening every three years. The Breast Screening Unit is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00am until 4:00pm.

The Breast Screening and Assessment Unit at the RVI is located on Level One of the New Victoria Wing. When you come through the Main Entrance of the New Victoria Wing, you will find the Cashiers Office in front of you and the shop to your right. Walk straight ahead of you, past the Cashiers Office, and then turn to your left where you will see the sign for the Breast Screening and Assessment Unit.
