‘Headlines’ is run by Maureen Gallagher, a experienced headwear designer who visits Wards 37 and 38 with her mobile trolley, each week on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays, complete with mirror and a wide selection of designs for you to try.
Any of our patients, male and female can request to meet with Maureen and as well as trying on hats and headscarves, you can benefit from her extensive knowledge of headwear designs in terms of fashion, shape, form and colour.
Our designer is always keen to solve any problems in finding just the right hat for special occasions and recently helped to find a suitable hat to be in the same colour as a wedding outfit, to have flair, a fashion twist and to be chic !
All fabrics and yarns are of the highest quality and follow a seasonal theme. Our designer advises that “the patients guide her hands”.
The 'Headlines' service is available weekly on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am until 12.30pm.
If you would like to know more about this service, please ask any member of our staff who can provide you with more information.
