Staff on Ward 35 specialise in the care of patients with all types of solid tumour cancers undergoing specific radioactive treatments, including iodine 131, (for thyroid cancer) gynaecological selectrons and radioactive jigs and moulds.
Patients are also admitted to support them during and immediately after radiotherapy treatment which may be radical (curative) or palliative (to relieve symptoms).
Our inpatient wards are also supported by a range of experienced therapy teams including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech and language therapy.

Ward 35 is located on Level 3 of the Northern Centre for Cancer Care (NCCC) based at the Freeman Hospital. To find us:
- Come through the Main Entrance for NCCC and take the stairs or lift on your left hand side up to Level 3.
- When you come out of the lift turn to your left and continue around the corner to your left..
- Walk straightahead through two sets of double doors where you will find Ward 35.
