Ward 38 is a specialist cancer care ward providing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for both male and female patients, and specialises in the treatment of testicular cancer.
We also have a special facility for caring for patients who have post chemotherapy neutropenia (low white cell count) and are at increased risk of infection.

Ward 38 is located on the fourth floor of the Northern Centre for Cancer Treatment (NCCT) based at the Newcastle General Hospital. To find us:
- Come through the Main Entrance for NCCT and take the lift or stairs on your right hand side up to the fourth floor where you will find Ward 38.
Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team on Ward 38 includes cancer doctors, nurses who administer chemotherapy, support nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and other support staff.
