The Freeman Hospital is the only hospital in the country to provide the full range of cardiothoracic surgery for adults and children, including heart and lung transplantation, under one roof.
Our specialist services include: cardiology, cardiac surgery and respiratory disease, as well as paediatric critical care and anaesthesia.
Our comprehensive range of cardiology clinical services and facilities include a Coronary Care Unit and catheter laboratories, as well as pacemaker and rehabilitation services, in addition to the usual inpatient wards and outpatient clinics.
Working in close co-operation, our multidisciplinary team manages all aspects of patient care from initial assessment of potential transplant patients through to the long term post-transplant care required.
