Send us your comments"To all on Ward 15, RVI. I can't thank you enough for all your patience, care and kindness shown to me during my stay with you over the last few days. Believe it or not I am really loathe to leave you all because I feel I have been among friends. You all do a wonderful job in trying circumstances and I do appreciate all your kindness." Mrs VP
Acute inpatient care is provided through dedicated wards at both the Freeman Hospital (Ward 9, Ward13 and Ward 15), and the RVI (Ward 41, also known as the Acute Stroke Unit). In addition to specialist consultants, these wards have dedicated nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists with additional support from speech & language therapy and social services.
Patients are admitted to these wards following initial assessment in the Emergency Assessment Unit at the RVI, or following referral from other wards in the Trust.
