Ultrasound Scan for children

Ultrasound Scan - The Jelly Belly Test

The test takes about 10 minutes. It makes pictures using sound waves and doesn’t involve any radiation.

If your child is still a baby it is a good idea to bring a full bottle and dummy or be ready to breast-feed just before the test starts. Bring a clean nappy too.

Results

The results of this examination will be sent to your child's hospital consultant in the next 7-10 days, and s/he will contact you, either by appointment or letter.
