Ward 12 - Children’s Intensive Care & High Dependency Unit (GNCH)

Ward 12, New Victoria Wing, RVI is the Children's Intensive Care Unit with 18 beds.
We look after patients from newborn up to 16 years of age and receive neonatal surgical referrals from all across the Northern Region.
Our staff also provide specialist children's care including major trauma and support following complex surgery.
We work in close partnership with our colleagues within the Special Care Baby Unit based in Leazes Wing at the RVI.

Directions to the ward from New Victoria WingShow [+] Hide [-]
- Enter the main entrance and keep to the immediate right hand side there you will see the lift and stairs.
- Enter the lift and select level 04 upon exiting turn right and follow the corridor until arriving at your destination on your right hand side.
Directions to the ward from Leazes WingShow [+] Hide [-]
- Enter Leazes Wing main entrance, walk past the reception desk and turn right when you reach the café.
- Walk down this corridor past a large glazed atrium. Continue along the corridor till the very end until you find the lifts and stairs on your left hand side.
- Enter the lift and select level 04 upon exiting turn right and follow the corridor until arriving at your destination on your right hand side.

- Enter the hospital from the multi-storey car park and take your immediate left. Then left again past the food court on your left hand side you will find the lift and stairs.
- Enter the lift and select level 04 upon exiting turn right and follow the corridor until arriving at your destination on your right hand side.

The clinical team on Ward 12 includes: Doctors , Nurses, Hospital Play Specialists/Nursery Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
