The staff on Ward 1b look after children who need medical and surgical care and specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of children with head injuries.
The ward includes a base for our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services, which is important to support children's rehabilitation.

Ward 1b is based on Level 2 of the Great North Children's Hospital. To find us:
· Come through the New Victoria Wing entrance and take the lift to Level 2.
· Turn right out of the lift, and walk to the end of the corridor.
· The ward is secure and you will need to press on the button to gain access.
Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team on Ward 1b includes: Doctors, Nurses, Hospital Play Specialists and Nursery Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
