Ward 23 is the Children’s Bone Marrow Transplant unit based at Newcastle General Hospital. Ward 23 has six cots caring for children who come to our Severe Compromised Immune Deficiency (SCIDS) service from all across the North of England and further afield, and we also have two specialist beds for children with blood related cancer who need blood marrow transplant treatment.
