Dental Emergency Clinic

The Dental Emergency Clinic provides a dedicated emergency dental service if you have an acute dental problem, and cannot get an urgent appointment at your own dentist.

If you are in pain or trauma, have facial swelling or bleeding, then this service is available to you. It is not possible to see specialist dentists at this service. We will, however, work to make sure that your pain and symptoms are relieved.

The emergency clinic is based at the Dental Hospital and is open Monday to Friday (apart from bank holidays) from 8.30 each morning and from 2.00 each afternoon. We strongly advise you to attend morning sessions, if at all possible, as we have limited capacity in both sessions and have to cap the number of patients that we can see.

If you turn up outside these hours, we will unfortunately not be able to see you.
