Snip Excision

Your skin polyp has been removed. A small wound will remain which will take 1-2 weeks to heal over. Clean daily with cooled, boiled water. Apply a thin smear of antiseptic cream and a small dry dressing. 

You may take a shower or a bath. After washing, clean the wound as before and apply a clean dressing. 

If bleeding occurs, apply firm pressure for at least 20 minutes. Once healed, the scar may be red and slightly raised. After several months it will settle to a more flesh coloured, flat scar.
