ENT Casualty Clinic

The ENT Casualty Clinic is based in the ENT Outpatient Department at Freeman Hospital and sees around 100 patients every week.

Please note the ENT Casualty Clinic does not offer a walk in service and so you cannot attend without a referral letter from your GP or from a referring doctor if you have been seen in the Accident & Emergency Department.

The Casualty Clinic is based in the ENT Outpatient Department.  To find us:

  • Come through the Main Outpatient Entrance at Freeman Hospital and take the lift on your right, or stairs straight ahead of you up to level 3.
  • Report to the reception desk directly in front of you.

How to get to the hospital

Staff you are likely to meet

The clinical team includes nursing and other support staff who can provide immediate treatment for your condition, and you can be seen by a doctor if necessary.

Things you need to know

  • There is loop system fitted at all ENT reception points, a TV in the waiting area and a portable loop system is available in the consulting rooms.
  • There is a League of Friends refreshment bar available during most clinic times in the outpatient area.
  • The ENT Casualty Clinic is not a walk in service.  You must be referred by your GP or by a doctor at the Emergency Department at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
