Private service

Contact: (0191) 213 8213 - Reception

Some Primary Care Trusts provide NHS funds for treatment and you would then only pay the usual prescription charges. The number of patients we can treat is determined by your Primary Care Trust and not all couples will be considered. We will be able to tell you whether or not you are eligible and the expected waiting time.

We also provide a fee-paying service and details of the costs are given below. Prices are inclusive of Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) fees (£104.50 for IVF treatment; £52 for donor insemination treatment). The treatment offered is just the same as you would receive if you were eligible for the NHS funded service. Although the consultants are personally involved with every couple during the treatment, they may not be able to carry out each stage of the treatment personally because of the large number of patients attending the Centre.

If you wish to be seen on this basis, please contact the secretary at the Centre if you have been seen in the clinic before. If you have not been to this Centre before, you will need a referral letter from your GP or Consultant
