Ward 16 Freeman Hospital

Ward 16 is a general medical ward specialising in the care for patients with gastric and liver conditions.

We also look after patient suffering from problems with substance misuse and our Clinical Nurse Specialist in this area works closely with Plummer Court to provide advice and support.

Ward 16 is based at the Freeman Hospital. To find us:

  • Come through the Main Entrance and follow the main corridor, passing the shop and hairdressers until you reach the end
  • Turn left and take the lift or stairs to level 6 and follow the sign for Ward 16.

Security is a high priority on this ward and a member of staff will allow you access through the security doors.

Staff you are likely to meet

The clinical team consists of medical staff, ward sisters, staff nurses, health care assistants, a nurse practitioner in substance misuse, specialist nurses in nutrition, dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and other support staff.

Things you need to know

  • Please do not bring fresh flowers onto the ward. This is to help with infection control.
