Ward 30 RVI

Ward 30 is a short stay, acute medical ward for adults. This means that most patients we see will have suddenly become unwell and find themselves in need of medical treatment, but should only need to stay in hospital for a short period and no longer than three days.
The majority of patients we care for come via the Assessment Suite. However we also look after patients who have spent some time in our Intensive Care Unit, for example for respiratory support, and who need a short period of recovery on a ward until well enough to go home.
We look after patients with many types of medical conditions. This includes patients with respiratory conditions affecting their breathing, and patients who have recently fallen and need to be monitored for a while before being discharged home.
How to find us

- Enter the main entrance keep to the left hand side either go up the escalators or use the lifts opposite main reception to level 03.
- Follow the internal signage to Leazes Wing Ward 30 is located on the first corridor to your right hand side then your first left.

- Enter Leazes Wing main entrance, walk past the reception desk and turn right when you reach the café.
- Walk down this corridor taking your first left and then left again arriving at your destination.

- Enter the hospital from the multi-storey car park and take your immediate left follow the corridor and take your next left prior to the stairs. Follow the corridor until you arrive at the lift and stairs on your right hand side.
- Enter the lift and go to level 03 exit onto the corridor on your right and follow the internal signage to Leazes Wing Ward 30 is located on the first corridor to your right hand side then your first left.
