Breastfeeding Twins or more

Contact: (0191) 282 0542 - Sandra Bosman, Midwife (for Multiple Births)

Breastfeeding twins or more may seem like a challenging task, but with the right information and support, it can be a satisfying and rewarding experience for all involved. This session is offered to women who want to find out more about:

  • positions for breastfeeding
  • how to avoid some common problems in the early days
  • support available for breastfeeding mums

Many other aspects of breastfeeding are also discussed including:

  • feeding patterns
  • sleep states
  • expressing and storing milk
  • going back to work.

There will be an opportunity to ask the midwives questions and if possible, we will invite a twins family to visit and talk about breastfeeding.

This session is held on some Thursday from 10:30am until 12:30pm in the Parent Education Room and refreshments are provided.
