This session is offered as an option for women and their partners who are unable to attend the classes offered by their Community Midwives and will explain all aspects of labour and birth including:

  • How to recognise early labour
  • How to cope with the early stages of being in labour
  • What can happen when labour does not go as planned
  • Caesarian section and Assisted birth of your baby
  • Ways to manage the pain of labour and how to plan for your labour and the birth
  • Visit to the maternity wards

The session is usually held at weekends - contact our Parent Education Secretary for more information.
