Our Adult Orthopaedic services deal with disorders and injuries to your muscles, tendons, joints and bones. If you’re one of the 70% of adults who suffer from back pain at some stage in your life, we provide a fast-track back pain service in our Musculo Skeletal Outpatient Department to help minimise your discomfort and disruption.
We also provide a comprehensive range of orthopaedic surgery, including:
The department includes a team of Nurse Practitioners who are committed to helping you recover from joint surgery as speedily and effectively as possible. One of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners also delivers a specialist foot and ankle service, in collaboration with experts from our orthoses (medical equipment to support your limbs, such as braces, splints and callipers) and biomechanics teams.
We’ve recently introduced an innovative new integrated care pathway for patients undergoing total joint surgery, to help you understand what to expect from your surgery and how to make as speedy a recovery as possible.
Our aim – which underscores everything we do - is to help you regain your independence and get you back on your feet as soon as you are able.
