Ward 20 is a 26 bedded unit which specialises in looking after adults who require:
- foot and ankle surgery
- spinal surgery
- surgery and other treatment for bone tumours
There is also a 6 bedded day unit for Rheumatology patients where they can receive day case treatment.

Ward 20 is based on the seventh floor of Freeman Hospital. To find us:
- Come through the Main Entrance and follow the main corridor, passing the shop and hairdressers until you reach the end.
- Turn left and take the lift or stairs to level 7 and follow the sign for Ward 20.
Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team on Ward 20 consists of orthopaedic surgeons, specialist nurses, junior medical staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other support staff.
Things you need to know
- As we have so many patients coming in and going home it may be necessary to rearrange the ward to make way for new patients coming in for operations. We apologise for any inconvenience should this affect you.
