The Freeman Hospital Main Outpatient Department runs a number of multi-specialty clinics, i.e.
- General Medicine
- General Surgery
- Cardiology / Thoracic Medicine
- Renal
- Urology
The department is divided into a number of clinic areas from A - F. When you arrive in the department, register your arrival at the reception desk under your Consultant's name and the staff there will let you know which clinic area to report to.

The Freeman Hospital Main Outpatient Department is located at the front of the hospital. To find us:
- Come through the Main Outpatient Entrance which is the middle entrance to the building with a covered canopy.
- On entering the building, turn to your left and report to the reception desk.
Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team in the outpatient department includes the consultants and their team of doctors, nurses and other support staff.
Please note that as we are a teaching hospital there may be students attending the clinic.
Things you need to know
- Please speak to your GP if you require transport to your outpatients' appointment.
- Car parking is available at the front of the hospital with a charge of £1.10 per hour. Disabled parking is available. See our Car Parking section for more information.
- There is a WRVS refreshment bar available during most clinic times which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks.
