We have X-ray departments on the Freeman Hospital, Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), Dental Hospital and Walkergate Hospital sites. These provide a wide range of general and very specialised types of radiological procedures including:
Radiological procedures
- General X-ray e.g. chest, abdominal, skeletal X-rays - all hospital sites
- Mammography or other breast imaging - RVI
- Fluoroscopy e.g. barium meal or enema - all hospital sites
- Ultrasound examinations - all hospital sites
- Computed Tomography (CT) scanning - all hospital sites
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning - Freeman Hospital and RVI
- Diagnostic and therapeutic interventional examinations e.g. angiography and stent insertion - Freeman and RVI
