Ultrasound UnitUS - Female Pelvis - A Pelvic Ultrasound is an examination to assess the ovaries, uterus (womb) and surrounding structures.

US Guided Biopsy - This test is routinely performed in the X-ray department and involves taking a small piece of tissue from the part of your body that your doctors wish to investigate.  The procedure is carried out using an Ultrasound scanner to guide the Radiologist to the exact area of the body under investigation.  This allows the best sample possible to be obtained.

 US Guided Injection - This test is routinely performed in the X-ray department and involves taking a small piece of tissue from the part of your body that your doctors wish to investigate.  The procedure is carried out using an Ultrasound scanner to guide the Radiologist to the exact area of the body under investigation.  This allows the best sample possible to be obtained. 

US Musculoskeletal Scan - (As for US Scan below)

US Scan - An Ultrasound Scan is a way of producing detailed pictures of the body using sound waves.  The sound waves are at a pitch that is too high to be heard by the human ear.  A computer converts the information into a picture that is displayed on a television screen.
