Endoscopy Unit RVI

This daycase unit offers investigation and treatment for people with a wide range of conditions requiring an endoscopic procedure.
Patients can be referred to this unit by their own GP or hospital doctor for investigation.

Patients who are referred to the Endoscopy Unit must report to the reception desk on Ward 39.
The Endoscopy Unit is based the ground floor of Leazes Wing at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. To find us:
- Come through the Leazes Wing Outpatient Department entrance.
- Follow the corridor in front of you walking past the Outpatient Department reception desk on your right.
- You will find the Endoscopy Unit reception desk on Ward 39, on your left hand side.
Staff you are likely to meet
The Endoscopy Unit is led by Sister E Woodall and the team on the unit include nurses, health care assistants, nurse endoscopists, doctors, and other support staff.
Things you need to know
- Patients who are referred to the Endoscopy Unit must report to the reception desk on Ward 39.
- You may wish to be accompanied by a companion.
