Ward 46 is a general surgical ward which provides care for people requiring treatment for a range of surgical procedures focusing on breast and endocrine problems, and plastic surgery.

Ward 46 is based on the third floor of Leazes Wing at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. To find us:
- Come through the main entrance of Leazes Wing which can be entered off Richardson Road.
- Take the lift or stairs to floor three and follow the signs for Ward 46.
Staff you are likely to meet
The clinical team on Ward 46 includes endocrine and breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, breast care nurses, ward nurses, and other support staff.
Things you need to know
- If your relatives need high dependency care after their operation, if possible, please collect property and valuables on day of surgery from the ward as there are limited storage facilities available.
- Please do not bring fresh flowers onto the ward. This is to help with infection control.
