Lithotripsy
We are the sole provider of lithotripsy treatment in the North East, a specialist technique that treats stones which have developed in the kidney and ureter.
Laser Prostatectomy
The Freeman Hospital is the North East's sole provider of the Greenlight© Laser, an advanced alternative to conventional prostate surgery or TURP.
Bladder Cancer Service
We have a special 'one stop' clinic to investigate any suspected symptoms of bladder cancer and our fast track system means that you will be seen within two weeks of referral to our care.
Kidney Cancer Service
If your GP suspects that your symptoms may indicate kidney cancer, you will be referred to see one of our specialist consultant urologists. Our 'fast track' system means that you will be seen within two weeks of referral to our care.
Prostate Screening Clinic
The Prostate Screening Clinic is a special 'fast track' clinic for men who may be showing signs of prostate cancer - this means that you will be seen within 14 days of referral to our care.
Testicular Cancer Service
Our Testicular Cancer Service ensures that you can be seen within 14 days of referral to our care for rapid investigation and treatment if needed.
