  • Biography

    Undergraduate training in Birmingham, graduated 1983, postgraduate training in paediatrics/paediatric oncology Newcastle 1986-95.

    Appointed to consultant post in 1995, Head of Department of Paediatric and Adolescent Oncology since 2005.

    Formerly Chair of Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG), Supportive Care Group (2003-2008) and CCLG UK Paediatric BMT Group (2008-2012).

    Main research interests include late effects of treatment for childhood/adolescent malignancy/BMT, long-term follow-up (LTFU), and guideline development. Involved in large EU-funded project on PanCare Childhood and Adolescent Cancer Survivor Care and Follow-up Studies (PanCareSurFup) (leading the development of pan-European LTFU guidelines).
