  • Biography

Coming from a background in Paediatrics, I trained in anaesthesia, neonatal and adult ICU, and paediatric cardiology prior to completing my subspecialty training in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine in 2012. Having spent my time in the Yorkshire and North West regions I subsequently completed a one year Fellowship in PICU in Melbourne, Australia. I particularly enjoyed air retrieval of sick patients from rural outback hospitals.

I have published research into palliative care delivery to PICU patients in different environments and presented internationally.  At Alder Hey, I worked on improving the treatment of paediatric burns, translating the latest research into clinical practice in a usable comprehensive guideline.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health, and member of the Paediatric Intensive Care Society.
