  • Biography

I completed undergraduate training at University College London Medical School prior to moving to Leeds to train in general radiology.  I then undertook a three year fellowship in interventional and diagnostic neuroradiology at Oxford University Hospitals Trust.

My interests lie in neurovascular pathology and interventional neuroradiology.  This includes the treatment of aneurysms and vascular malformations as well as thrombectomy/ clot retrieval for acute stroke.

I sit on the committee for the British Society of Neuroradiologists (BSNR). I also have a keen interest in teaching and I am a member of the BSNR Training and Education Subcommittee whose role is to improve the standards of training for future neuroradiologists.

I have published papers in international journals, a book aimed at radiology trainees, and several other book chapters.

I have a keen interest in neuroimaging research, and have been involved in research outside of the hospital, CT scanning ancient artefacts for museums.

In my spare time I enjoy running, cycling, fell walking and the beautiful North East coastline.
