  • Biography

    After undergraduate study at the University of Oxford, I trained in General Paediatrics in the Severn Deanery and Christchurch, New Zealand.  My Paediatric Rheumatology training was here in Newcastle and at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.  I joined the Great North Children’s Hospital as a Consultant in May 2018.

    I was awarded a Barbara Ansell Fellowship in Paediatric Rheumatology to undertake research focusing on lupus nephritis and subsequently an NIHR Rare Diseases Translational Research Collaboration Clinical Research Fellowship.  I was Trainee Representative on the UK Paediatric Rheumatology Clinical Studies Group and maintain active involvement in research.

     

    I am a current member of the JIA Topic Specific Group and British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology.  I am also an Associate Clinical Lecturer at Newcastle University with an ongoing role in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training.
