Within our service, our dietitians provide support and information for patients, and help other hospital staff to advise patients on diet and nutrition topics.

Dietitians are the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual level, and also at a wider public-health level.

Dietitians work with both healthy and sick people. They use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease to create practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.

You can find out more about the work of dietitians on the Association of UK Dietitians website.
